ESG stands for environmental, social, and governance. These are the pillars of ESG, which represent the three main areas that companies are expected to report on.

About us

ImmunoIVD AB is a Sweden-based company dedicated to providing reliable, accessible, and innovative assays for newborn screening for Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA). We own and operate an office building, which includes the laboratory space, where we manufacture medical devices for newborn screening.

ESG Governance

Our CEO, Environmental management system representative, and Work Environment Representative oversee our policies and operational controls for environmental, health, safety, and social risks. The stakeholders meet regularly to set goals, budgets, and implementation timelines and monitor progress and results.

ESG Commitment

We strive to build sustainable, equitable, healthy, and diverse communities through a combination of innovative and accessible screening assays and exemplary environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. This commitment informs every aspect of our business, including our manufacturing, logistics, and our collaboration with stakeholders.

1. Environmental Stewardship

All staff members are aware of the environmental policy and understand its purpose. The overall environmental objective of ImmunoIVD is to contribute to a sustainable society aiming to reduce its environmental footprint to a minimum. ImmunoIVD is committed to responsibly optimizing the use of energy, and natural resources, minimizing its emissions, reduce any negative environmental impact such as avoidable waste handling.

Therefore, at ImmunoIVD we:

· Integrate environmental considerations into all activities.
· Consider environmental legislation and regulations as minimum requirements.
· Encourage and empower all employees to take personal responsibility for contributing to a sustainable development.
· Continuously improve the environmental management system to enhance environmental sustainability and regularly report environmental performance to stakeholders, as applicable.
· Implement and maintain an environmental management system that meets the EN ISO 14001 Standard.

We are commited

to driving down our energy and carbon impacts, therefore we aim to be continuously reduce manufacturing waste, and keep the number of discarded produced items lower than 5%.

We monitor

how much paper is printed and thrown away by all employees, with a goal to reduce and maintain the number of kilograms of paper waste at under 30kg quarterly.

We prioritize

online meetings with our customers over “in-person” ones, which could require traveling by aircraft and depend on fossil fuels.

We are compliant  with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals), which addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. As a part of the program, we are monitoring the number of accidents caused by chemicals.

The work environment are being adapted to the individual's physical and mental needs and all employees will be given the opportunity to participate in the design of their own work environment.

Promoting Collaboration within the Newborn Screening industry: We strive to foster collaboration within the newborn industry and bring leading experts, medical professionals, affected children, and their families together by sponsoring different activities and events, that raise awareness on rare diseases and the importance of early detection.  In addition to that, ImmunoIVD is a proud member of the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Alliance, and a corporate partner at the International Patient  Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies.

3. Governance

Our corporate governance complies with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, as we recognize that good governance is essential to our employees and business.

Ethics: Our directors and all employees conduct themselves in accordance with the highest moral and ethical standards, informed by a robust Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

We are committed to ensuring a fair workplace for our employees as well as partners with whom we do business. We have strict policies to protect against unlawful discrimination and harassment.

Furthermore, we have implemented a Whistleblowing Service to provide a confidential avenue for reporting suspected violations of compliance, instances of unlawful or unethical behavior, or fraudulent activities. This service underscores our commitment to accountability and transparency
